This black two piece jilbab is convenient for salah, but I wanted something nice to wear to the masjid for jumuah prayers, but it's not suitable for that in my opinion. Maybe for taraweeh it's fine, but the material just doesn't really cut it for me. It's almost paper-like and not worth the $37 to me, I was hoping for a heavier and more flowy material. That being said, I don't think I would ever feel too warm in this jilbab, it's lightweight and comfortable. It definitely requires something worn underneath if you want to wear it out, the light shines through, but it's perfectly modest in the way it's shaped and I'm happy with that. I'm 5'1, 115 lbs and the skirt has to be pulled up to my ribcage (it has an elastic band you can tie tighter if needed), and the top is long enough on me I can wear baggy pants and just wear the top for salah, which is super convenient. I have a small head so the bottom portion on the part that frames the face is loose around my chin, so I'd worry about modesty wearing it out. As long as I tie the jilbab over the head instead of under and inside the jilbab (I hope that makes sense), then I feel it fits my face better and the material lays just right so that my neck doesn't show. I definitely don't have to wear an under cap with this, it stays put and I have very slippery hair. I do like the fitted sleeves, I personally don't like flowy sleeves because my arms show when I raise my hands during prayer, so I'm glad that won't be an issue. I noticed it did attract a lot of pet hair, probably because the material can get quite a bit of static electricity. It made a light whooshing sound over my ears as the material kinda rubbed together, sort of like how a rain jacket sounds, which I don't quite understand since the material is soft enough, just not silky soft. Overall I would've paid maybe $20 for this, but my other prayer garment was ruined so I hoped I was investing in something cute I could also wear to the masjid. Sadly, it's just an over priced prayer jilbab for home use, but it's good enough for that. I don't need anything fancy to pray at home.

I bought this for my daughter and it fits perfectly. It's a good fit for a young or smaller person/ youth. The fabric has a nice shine to it and it she loves the pockets.
