This shovel is really small, it's more of a novelty gift than anything useful. I tried to use it in the garden, but there are tools more suited for that purpose. Those tools have a handle that makes it easy to use and reduce hand fatigue, this does not.

YES, the description states "Mini", but I was expecting a 1:2 or 50% the size of an e-tool, and this thing is miniscule. Papa Smurf would be hard-pressed to plant his Kennedy Roses with this thing. My G.I. Joe came with a better shovel accessory. And I can't give it to my kids to play with in the sandbox, which is really the ONLY use it would be good for, because of the sharp edges. Basically, this will go in the junk drawer and await either the next charity drive or new home owner.

Great, very well made you can tell the materials are not cheap in any way I would recommend this for anyone who is thinking about buying this

I have this version and a larger camping shovel from HX outdoors. They come pretty well accessorized. There is no pouch included with this model which is a downer because it would be nice to have means to store the accessories better. The adjustment to lock the angle to the spade head is a little basic, but is intended to keep the product design simple and not overengineered at the cost of minor convenience. This is not going to be a primary shovel for medium duty use, but can be quite handy to keep in your pack or a vehicle for light digging and light chopping/cutting. HX takes pride in the product and does ship this with a microfiber cloth to keep it clean.
