I had this for about a year. The reason I am replacing it is photos. The camera cover is complete scratched. I bought another one and will be using it. But I really wish they could sell this with a replaceable set of lens covers. I am getting another Lifeproof Fre. Everything else works fine. my charging cover stayed on. I didn't notice a real drop in volume or quality. My screen did eventually get enough minor dings that facial rec became spotty. But that is to be expected. It is plastic after all. But it has protected my phone from many falls and a couple of wet moments. I agree that the retaining ring in the seal seems to be less robust than before. I ended up not being able to put it back on when I took my case apart. My old 6s cases never had that issue. I could use the Lifeproof on days when I thought I'd need the extra protection and switch back and forth to something less robust when I didn't. This was my every day case for about a year and a half. Which is a pretty good run.

I have used LifeProof Fre case for years now. With one of the previous LifeProof cases I owned, I dropped my phone into a just off the heat soup. I grabbed it out with tongs, rinsed it off and my phone was not damaged in anyway. I am very rough on my phone and the case has never failed me. I will always protect my investment with LifeProof!

Product quality has dropped massively, the o’ring doesn’t fit properly and gets easily pinched when closing the case, external soft rubber degraded very quickly….have moved away from this brand now

Love the protection however.It impedes touch screenAs well as face recognition
