I got this folding dog ramp, and it has been really helpful for getting my dog in and out of the car. The extra-wide design makes it easier for my dog to walk up without feeling unsteady. So I bought this ramp for my pet pig to get in my vehicle. The idea of the ramp for a dog would be wonderful, but I didn’t think about the fact that his hooves would slide on the carpet. The ramp is easy to fold up and compact into a vehicle, easy to carry from the house to the car. I did have my dog use the ramp, and it worked great for her. The steepness wasn’t bad and the carpet was easy for my dog to walk on. Also, despite the fact it didn’t work well for my pigs hooves, it did support his weight and didn’t slid on the car. It stayed sturdy and didn’t slid.

Sturdy construction and nice carpeted surface BUT difficult to open without pinching fingers and hands. When I held it by the convenient handle and started unfolding it my hand was pinched, then when I held it by the edges my fingers were pinched as it flopped open and closed. It takes some finesse and it is a bit bulky but the dog is comfortable using it to get in the back seat of my new Tacoma truck. Also it is a bit wide for side door entry so you have to angle it a bit to not hit the door. Overall a good purchase.
