Fantastic deal! Works like a dream to quickly empty rainwater from the bilge in combination with a level switch! L bracket required to mount to seat and position in lowest part of bilge

La uso per svuotare la vasca del vivo , quella vecchia mi ha durato 10 anni . Bruciata ne ho comprata subito un altra !!! Ottima

The unit is quiet and moves water well, but the most endearing feature for me; a quick click and twist to remove the motor from the base. This may not seem like a big deal, but in my boat, the bilge area is VERY tight to get into, and I needed to replace the bilge pump. As this T500 unit was in my new boat, I could simply twist the motor out and replace it into the pre-mounted base (connect wires as well). If I had to fully/traditionally replace that unit, I would had to removed gas lines, gas vent hoses and maybe a piece of the floor: it was a huge time saver. BTW, the replacement motor on Amazon is 10 dollars more than buying the entire kit....the motor is the same, save the money

I purchased this unit to hook up a livewell on a pontoon boat. So far it has done an excellent job maintaining a fresh water supply to the 10+ gallon livewell, in which the inlet is approximately 4 feet above the bottom of the pump, and approximately 8 feet away (it's a 25ft pontoon).PROS:Sufficient flow for 10+ gallon livewellEasy to install, base just snaps on and off (but does so very securely)The idea of the removable cartridge is awesome, but I have seen this complete pump available for cheaper than the replacement motors.CONS:It is kinda loud. Even when it is 12 feet away and under 1+ feet of water, you can still hear an audible humI would recommend this to anyone looking for a submersible livewell/bilge pump. FYI, I did extensive research, and did not find a definite answer to my question of 'can this be used as a livewell pump'. By comparing specs on the manufacturer's website, I was able to determine that the replacement cartridge for this unit and the one they sell as a 'livewell' pump are in fact the same part number. It is fully submersible, but as long as it's kept in 6"+ of water when running, it works as good if not better than the so-called 'livewell' pumps.
